Feline Friday: Windigo Update

Aos
It has been 10 days since Windigo went missing and despite our continuing best efforts, he has not yet been found. I am starting to lose hope, though I am far from giving up. I have dreamed of him every night.

Aos has lost a little weight and he wanders around meowing and looking out the windows several times a day. He has never been a very cuddly cat but since Windigo disappeared he has spent every night on our bed. I am giving him extra attention, but I can tell he is lonely. I have also spent some time outside with him on his leash, should he get out I want him to know the area so he can come home. He also is going to get microchipped and his outdoor cat vaccines.
first picture
This was taken in June 2005, it is one of the first pictures I took after we adopted Aos and Windigo. I really miss him.

I’m sure you’ve probably thought of this, but maybe he went back to the old house?

I hope you find him :(

maybe you could use Aos like a bloodhound and have him sniff out Windigo while outside. Though it has rained too much since then :(

Aos freaks out when I take him beyond the deck outside unfortunately!

We have but he was never ever outdoors there (we left notice about it with our animal loving neighbors too.) I hope he didn’t go back there, it is right beside a couple major streets.

10 days seem like a long time. My one cat Ziggy was missing for about 10 days.
Have you post a picture on power poles and bulletin boards.

I’m very sorry for the pain you are feeling.

    Coffee is on.

I think I mentioned it in the last post about the kitty, but cats find their way back to places I think using the earth’s magnetic field, I read somewhere. So, not being outside at the old place is maybe not a prerequisite to going back there?

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I know how important kittiebabies can be.

Have you gone back to your old neighborhood. Sometimes cats will go back to where they use to live. Ask some of the neighbors there. Its worth a shot. I hope you find him soon.

I’m sorry… I am thinking about you guys and your kitty. It is hard, I’m sure. :( Lost cats sometimes turn up again, sometimes not. Both have happened to me. You never know. *hug*

Apologize for asking but what happened to Windigo? I pray you find him. I had two cats that wandered outside and never returned. =( Its heartbreaking not knowing what happened to them.
