Ivy at AC Starr Farms

9 Months!
Guess who turned 9 months old today? Oh my goodness, time does fly!

I took this photo out at AC Starr Farms today in Otis Orchards, our favorite family owned farm. We bought sweet bi-color corn, summer squash (for zucchini relish) and sweet peppers. Roasted up the peppers stuffed with cheese for dinner and had the corn as well. Raising ‘em young to love this homesteading stuff donchaknow.

Little Miss Nine Months Old is even mauling her way through half a cob at the moment. I’ve rarely seen a happier baby then she is now. Loving it.

(We have a Paganites page on Facebook now by the way! Join us over there for updates and maybe some other fun talk.)

First Steps
{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. See Soulemama to play along.

Ivy

Ivy vs Stairs
Since I have been accused of taking more photos of Damian then I do Ivy, I thought I’d put up a whole post about her little self (and to be honest, I do have more photos of Damian from this age then I do her. What can I say baby girl, as a second child as well, I can relate.) Also in many of my photos lately both kids are mostly or completely naked. I prefer not to put those online.

Recently Ivy has become quite the little stair master. I have a feeling she is going to be a climber like her brother. She has also discovered her voice in all it’s glorious decibels. In other words, Holy Hathor’s Horns can she be loud! Time to pack up the crystal before she shatters it (what am I talking about, I haven’t had any crystal out since Damian started toddling.) At this very moment Ivy would like you to know: “AAAAAAMAMA MAMAMAMA EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

Speaking of toddling, Ivy is almost there. She can stand up on her own without pulling herself up on something else first (though it is still more fun to use her brother or the cat as a crutch.) She has taken her first steps but has not gotten further then that. Only a matter of time though.

As far as personality quirks, Ivy loves getting dirty but hates the bath unless Damian is in it with her (she loves splashing him.) She has long periods of silent concentration on one thing followed by a flurry of vocalizations of flinging things around until she finds something new of interest. She is incredibly playful but seems to like to do her own thing too. Ivy seems to have less stranger anxiety then Damian did at this age, however we did leave her with a sitter at an earlier age too.
231/365: {yellow week} Ivy
I’m loving watching her grow. Maybe she is similar in a lot of ways developmentally to Damian but truly her own little person.
