hen is the last time you looked at the stars? Can you even see them in your area? The GLOBE Program is doing GLOBE at Night 2009 again. It lasts from March 16th to March 28th (which is also the day of Earth Hour!) All that they ask is that you go outside about a hour after dark and observe the constellation Orion, “take measurements of stars in this portion of the sky using GLOBE’s Magnitude Charts, and enter observations into the GLOBE at Night Web site.” The data is used to research the patterns of light pollution across the globe.
So check out their site and on the next clear night between now and March 28th get outside and gaze up at the dazzling and wondrous heavens above!
